The Staying Safe and Secure booklet summarises CCPAS’s Ten Safeguarding Standards. The full version of the manual and standards are available to members through the members' area of our website. It introduces good safeguarding practice and procedures and covers major topics such as the nature of abuse, its signs and symptoms and how to respond to concerns or allegations.

Safe and Secure DVD
This is a 50 minute docu-drama style presentation. It contrasts two cases of abuse, one of which was handled badly and the other well. It has been translated into 16 languages, British Sign Language and English subtitles, and presents CCPAS’s 10 principles of safeguarding in clear, logical steps.
We think it is particularly relevant to church trustees, leaders and those adults for whom full safeguarding training is not needed. It would also provide a useful introduction to new youth workers before they experience a live FTU seminar or the distance learning programme. It will also help church leaders review their policies and procedures.
This DVD has been sponsored by the Department for Education.
